Strawberries and Cream Dessert Wraps

05/15/12 | Desserts and Treats, Recipes

These are the most requested and craved dessert my family asks for, and they are healthy… well, they have strawberries in them at least 😉

Did I mention that they are super easy too?!  These are the perfect summer dessert.  After a BBQ, at the beach, after a long day of swimming… mmmmm!  AND as a bonus you’ll learn the recipe to the EASIEST AND YUMMIEST Whipped Cream Frosting EvEr!

So here are the recipes:

Frosting / Cream:
-One tub of whipped cream
-One package pudding mix.  I used Vanilla, but you could use any flavor really. I really like White Chocolate also 🙂

Directions:
Open the whipped topping and pour the whole box of dry pudding mix in, folding it in slowly until incorporated.  The more you stir, the more frosting like and thick it becomes.Use this frosting for anything that you would put frosting on, cupcakes, cookies, etc.  Yummo!

Wraps:
-One Recipe of the Cream (above)
-About 10 UN-cooked tortillas (you could use pre cooked ones, but they are NOT as good as the uncooked ones that you can get at Costco or Wal-Mart in the refrigerated section)
-One container of Strawberries, hulled and sliced thinly

Directions:
Cook the tortillas following the directions on the bag, spread some frosting on a tortilla and place the strawberries as shown in the pictures.  Roll up like cinnamon rolls, and slice on an angle.  Easy Peasy!
Note: if you are not using uncooked tortillas, warm up the tortillas in the microwave in between wet paper towels to help soften them so they don’t crack.
Thinly sliced strawberries…

 Cooking the tortillas…

 The cooked tortilla’s…

 Spread the cream…

 Place the strawberries…

 Voila!!  Enjoy!
