Welcome, friend! I’m Annette—wife, mom of five, preschool teacher, and the heart behind Tips From a Typical Mom.
I grew up in South Dakota as the youngest of eight kids and now live in Utah with my sweet (and totally chaotic) family. I’ve been married to my paraglider husband for over two decades—he flies, I cheer from the ground, and we make a pretty great team.
I started this blog with my kids in mind—so they’d always have a place to find my best recipes, mom tips, and maybe a few stories they’d rather forget. Now, it’s grown into a space for moms everywhere who are trying to keep the kids fed, the house semi-clean, and their sanity intact.
I’m a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I currently serve in the Primary with the cutest little humans around. I love music, dancing in the kitchen, and embarrassing my kids just enough to keep them humble.
