Grandma Pat’s Crockpot Baked Beans

06/07/13 | Dinner, Recipes, slowcooker

All I can say about these BBQ Crockpot Baked Beans is YUM!

These are by far the BEST baked beans I have ever tasted.  They are fairly easy too!  All you have to do is brown some hamburger, cook some bacon then dump all the ingredients in a crockpot and walk away until it’s time for the BBQ to begin!  This recipe comes to you from my Sister’s Mother In Law, Pat.  She is such a great lady, and has perfected this recipe over the years.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family and I do!  These could be dinner all on their own!

BBQ Crockpot Baked Beans
-1 can Kidney Beans
-1 can Butter Beans
-1 can Great Northern Beans
-3 small cans Pork-n-Beans
-1/2 cup Ketchup
-3/4 cup Brown Sugar
-2 Tablespoons Vinnegar
-1.5 to 2 lbs. Hamburger cooked through and crumbled*
-6 to 8 slices of cooked Bacon**
-1 Onion diced
-2 Green Bell Peppers diced

*I cook the diced onion with the hamburger.  I think it gives it more flavor.

**I like to make my bacon in the oven.  Cover a bar pan with tin foil and place your uncooked bacon in an even layer on the pan.  Place in your oven and turn the oven on to 400 degrees.  NOTE: Do not pre-heat the oven.  Bake for about 15-20 min depending on your oven.  Check it regularly for doneness.

Directions… Add everything to the crockpot, stir and cook for about 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high.  This could also be made on the stovetop in a pot until hot.

Enjoy these at your next Summer cookout!
