{Halloween} Hershey’s Kiss Pretzel Recipe

08/31/13 | Halloween, Holidays, Kids Crafts and Coloring, Recipes

Halloween Hershey’s Kiss Pretzel Buttons are an easy and fun recipe to make with the kids every fall.

I make these Hershey’s Kiss Pretzels every Christmas with Christmas M&M’s. They are so easy and so cute! I thought maybe we could do something cute like them for Halloween! So here is my version of Halloween Chocolate Pretzels:

The picture on the bottom is a Thanksgiving version too, I’ll be sharing that in November 😉

These are so simple to make, your kids will LOVE helping you open the kisses:

It doesn’t hurt to eat a few in the process!

Halloween Hershey’s Kiss (Hugs) Pretzels:

Here’s what you need:

-One bag of square pretzels snaps
-One bag of Hershey’s Kisses Hugs Candies 12 oz
-One Bag of Brach’s Autumn Mix, 11oz bag of Candy, or one bag of candy corn and one bag of pumpkins

Here’s what you do:

1. Line a baking sheet (like this Nordic Ware Bakers Half Sheet, 13 by 18 by 1 Inch) with tin foil
2. Preheat your oven to it’s lowest setting (usually 200 degrees but preferrably 175)
3. Place the pretzels on the baking sheet
4. Place a Hug in the center of each pretzel
5. Place the pan in the oven for about 2 min.
6. Try pressing a candy corn into the hug, if the middle of the hug isn’t soft, place the pan back in the oven for about another minute
7. Continue pressing the pumpkins and candy corns in the kisses until they all have one.
8. Place in your fridge for about 10 minutes to set.
DONE!  ENJOY!

Here are the Hugs after I’ve taken them out of the oven. You can see that they are shiny and just about to start tipping from being melted. This is the perfect time to take them out of the oven and press the candies into them.

Then you let them sit and harden or put them in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
These will stay good in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Here is a printable version of the recipe for you.

I came across your site on Pinterest. Your treats are super cute. I am wondering how you made your Thanksgiving ones? I want to take these into my daughters class for her November birthday. Thanks!

I just used the pumpkin spice Hersheys kisses for the Thanksgiving ones. But they would be cute with rolos or just regular chocolate kisses too!
