How To Make an Easter Basket Out Of Candy

04/04/23 | Easter

Easter is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by making a unique and fun Easter basket? Instead of using the traditional wicker basket, why not make an Easter basket out of candy boxes? This is a fun and creative way to create a one-of-a-kind Easter basket that will surely impress everyone. Here’s how you can make your own candy box Easter basket.

Materials:

  • Assorted candy boxes
  • Floral Foam
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Assorted candy with sticks (see video for examples)
  • Assorted candy for filler
  • Ribbon
  • Cellophane Easter Basket bags

Instructions:

Step 1: Gather candy boxes of various sizes and shapes. You can use boxes from any type of candy, as long as they are sturdy enough to hold the Easter treats.

Step 2: Arrange the boxes in a way that creates the shape of a basket. Use larger boxes for the bottom of the basket and smaller boxes for the sides.

Step 3: Once you have arranged the boxes, glue the sides of the boxes together to create a solid structure. Use tape to reinforce the sides if needed.

Step 4 (optional): Cut strips of ribbon and tie them around the sides of the basket, covering the seams where the boxes are glued together. This will give the basket a more finished look.

Step 5: Add any decorations you like, such as Easter-themed stickers or faux flowers. You can also fill the basket with Easter grass or shredded paper for a more traditional look.

Step 6: Fill the basket with Easter treats such as chocolate eggs, candy, and small toys.

Step 7: Wrap the basket in cellophane or use a cellophane easter basket bag and use a bow to tie up the top of the bag.

And voila! You now have a unique and festive Easter basket made out of candy boxes. This is a great way to create a memorable Easter decoration. It’s also a fun activity to do with kids who can help decorate and fill the basket with Easter treats. Happy Easter!
