Strawberries and Cream Dessert Wraps

01/15/14 | Desserts and Treats, Holidays, Recipes, Valentines Day

If you haven’t tried the uncooked tortillas that you can get at Costco or other grocery stores, you are SO missing out!  Once you try these tortillas, I promise you won’t buy the precooked ones ever again.  This recipe was created after a shopping trip left me with a ton of strawberries.  You know.  It was one of those deals I just couldn’t pass up.  10 Pounds of strawberries for a ridiculously low price.  So, I really needed to use them up before they went bad.

I thought about making this Triple Chocolate Fruit Topped Cookie Pizza, but then I’d have to go and make cookie dough.  I was too lazy for that!

And so the Strawberries and Cream Dessert Wrap was born using the same kind of awesome cream “frosting” used on the cookie pizza.

Here’s what you’ll need:
-1 lb strawberries
-16 oz heavy cream
-1 pkg vanilla, white chocolate or cheesecake pudding mix (just one box, not all three.  You choose what flavor you want to use, they are all yummy!)
-8 uncooked tortillas, cooked

First, slice your strawberries thinly so they will not be a bulky mess when wrapped!

Whip the cream until stiff peaks form then beat in the dry pudding mix until well blended.  This will make the cream the consistency of frosting.

Spread some cream on a tortilla.

Add strawberries in a single layer on 3/4 of the tortilla.  Leave the other side empty for rolling purposes.

Start rolling the tortilla tightly from the side with the strawberries.

Slice the middle at an angle with a serrated knife, and you’re done!

Enjoy!
