I love Rice Krispy Treats. But let’s face it, they are full of fat and sugar. But, even though I know they are not good for me, I still love them and make them often. Here is a Healthier Version of Rice Krispy Treats by changing out one ingredient. Butter for Coconut Oil. Hey, now we are adding good fat and vitamins! Yay~
Healthier Rice Krispy Treats:
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil
- 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
Melt the coconut oil over med-low heat then add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until melted all the way through. Stir in the rice krispies and mix until well blended. With a greased hand, press into a 9×13 pan or a bar pan that has been generously buttered. If you want thick treats use the 9×13 if you want thin treats use the bar pan.
