Tween Hair Do’s- Braided bangs into a Side Pony Tail

03/12/14 | Kids Crafts and Coloring

This Tween Hair Do is super simple and quick. Perfect for a school day and when your hair is wet.

I don’t have step by step images for this one, sorry! But if you know how to part and braid, you’ll get it.

Start off by parting the section of hair that would be the bangs, all the way from the natural part on the side of the head to just above the ear.

Now leave this hair combed forward or have your daughter hold it.

Put the rest of the hair in a side pony tail.

Now comb the “bangs” hair to the side towards the pony tail. Nice and smooth.

Start braiding it from the top of the head and move your way toward the pony tail. Keep the braid close to the head.

* I did a twist braid. Which means instead of adding hair and braiding over the top from both sides as I’m french braiding, I had the right side come over the braid and the left side go under the braid. You always have the hair closest to the face go over and the hair from the back go under.

When I was done french braiding, I switched to a normal braid and continued all the way down the length of the hair.

I twisted the braid around the ponytail and secured it by pulling it through a few of the pony tail holder loops that were around the pony tail. Be sure to do this UNDER the pony tail so the short hair from the end of the braid will be hidden by the long hair in the pony tail.
