Red, White & Blue Jello Candied Popcorn- 4th of July

Red, White and Blue Jello Candied Popcorn is the perfect treat for the 4th of July and can easily be adapted for any holiday. You choose the color and flavor because this candied popcorn is made with Jello.

I love bringing treats to BBQ’s and this candied popcorn is so colorful and bright.

No one needs to know how easy it is to make because it looks really impressive and like you spend hours in the kitchen.

And guess what? It only takes 3 ingredients!

4th of July Red, White & Blue Jello Candied Popcorn

Makes 30 cups, but you can cut the recipe in half if you aren’t making it for a party.

  • 1 Box each Red and Blue Jello
  • 2 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cans Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 30 cups popped popcorn (I know that sounds like a lot, but if you are taking this to a party it will be the perfect amount)

1. Line two baking sheets with tin foil and spray with cooking oil.

2.Pour 10 cups of popcorn onto each baking sheet and spread evenly. Leave 10 cups of popcorn in a large bowl for the white chocolate.

3. Microwave the white chocolate according to the package directions. Pour over the popcorn in the large bowl and stir to evenly coat the popcorn.

4. Spread the popcorn on the counter on top of wax paper or tin foil. Let harden then break into small pieces.

5. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

6. Pour ONE CAN of the sweetened condensed milk into a non-stick sauce pan. Pour the whole contents of one of the Jell-O flavors into the milk and stir well. Turn the heat to medium and stir constantly until the mixture resembles greek yogurt. It should not boil, but thicken.

7. Pour the mixture over the popcorn and stir with two wooden spoons. Mix and toss until the popcorn is completely covered.

8. Repeat with the other can of milk and Jell-O flavor.

9. Bake the Jell-O popcorn at 200 degrees for 20-30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes.

10. Remove from oven and cool completely. Break into pieces and mix with the white chocolate popcorn.
