Homemade Slurpees with Kool-Aid

07/15/15 | Beverages, Desserts and Treats, Kids, Kids Crafts and Coloring, Recipes, Summer

My kids love running over to 7-11 and grabbing a Slurpee, but I don’t like spending so much money on ice and sugar.

Homemade Slurpees

So I decided I’d make our own at home, and I must say, they are even better than Slurpees because I can control how much sugar goes into them. And the kids love them!

Add the water, Kool-Aid and sugar to the blender and blend. Add the ice and blend until smooth and the consistency of a Slurpee. Serve right away. Enjoy!

My boys will like this recipe. I’ve never made frozen drinks with Kool Aid, but your photo looks so refreshing! It’s been so blooming hot here–these look like just the cure we need.
