Pizza Roll Ups

12/15/15 | appetizers, Dinner, Lunch, Main Dishes, Recipes

Looking for an easy dinner recipe that the whole family will love? Look no further. These Pizza Roll Ups are just like Cinnamon Rolls, but a dinner version. So much fun for the kids to help with!

Pizza Roll Ups

My kids really love Pizza, but I really get sick of it sometimes. I try to make a home cooked meal every night, but sometimes it’s just too hard when I’m running kids everywhere and we are doing homework. So easy dinners are my best friends lately. This is one of those super easy dinner recipes. Especially if you use pre-made dough.

Pizza Roll Ups- Makes 12 Rolls

  • 1 recipe pizza dough (can be purchased at the bakery in your local store) or use the recipe HERE
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce. I like Prego Traditional
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • pizza toppings: pepperoni, olives, peppers, sausage, veggies, etc. You choose your favorites. We chose pepperoni
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

Roll the pizza dough into a rectangle about 24″ wide by 10″ tall. Spread the pizza sauce all over the dough leaving about 1 inch on the top bare. Sprinkle cheese evenly over sauce. Sprinkle the garlic powder and Italian Seasoning over the cheese. Add desired topping evenly over the cheese. Starting at the end closest to you start rolling the wide side of the dough up. Cinnamon Roll Style. Slice the rolls into 12- 2″ pieces and place them in a greased muffin tin. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or until dough is cooked through. Enjoy by dipping in more sauce or serve with Parmesan Cheese.
