Color Sorting Preschool Activity- Fine Motor Skills

09/17/13 | Kids Crafts and Coloring, Preschool

My son is 3. He loves to use tweezers. He loves to sort things. He loves colors.

And viola, easiest fine motor skill/ color sorting activity ever!

 All you need is:

  1. Construction Paper
  2. Colorful beads
  3. A small bowl
  4. Tweezers (plastic preferable, I don’t have any so I just watch him closely)
  5. A muffin tin
  6. A little kid 😉

Cut the construction paper into circles to fit in the bottom of the muffin tin.  Put the beads in the bowl and give your child the tweezers.  My son had a fun time sorting the “shape” of beads too without the color circles in the bottom of the tin.

Have fun playing! Be sure to check out our Pinning for Play posts every Saturday through Monday for more ideas on play activities.  Be sure to follow the Pinning for Play board on Pinterest too.  The link is in my sidebar ——>
