Welcome to Tips from a Typical Mom!

07/04/09 | Uncategorized

After listening to people tell me over and over again that I should write a book on my life as a mom, preschool owner, and photographer, I have decided to start the closest thing that I think I could handle~ a BLOG~! (and you’ll notice that I am not a good enough writer to write a book!)

I will be posting things about my life as I trudge through it! I have 4 wonderful children. Tait is 10 and he is your typical 10 year old boy. Except for the fact that he loves to read. It is a punishment for me to take away his favorite book~he he! He is very high strung, overly sensitive to others feelings (which makes him even more high strung) funny, helpful and lazy at the same time, and a wonderful kid to have around! Tiernan is my little diva. She is 8 going on 16. She loves to be the mommy, teenager pop star, and emotional wreck all at the same time. She amazes me every day, and I am VERY scared of what she will act like when she is actually a teenager! Amara is my little spit-fire! She is a powerhouse full of energy, humor and love! She runs fast, plays hard and climbs like a monkey. She is a self taught drummer, guitar player and piano player and she is only 6. She is very ambitious 🙂 Sinjin comes around the back and ties us all together. I feel like he has taken all the good qualities of my husband and I and his brother and sisters. He is only 4, so we still have a lot of surprises ahead of us with him, but I love him to pieces. His smile melts your heart (although he can be a little booger sometimes). You will notice that I use that word, booger, a lot when I describe my children! I like saying it because it’s the closest thing to swearing that I do. 🙂 I use it when I’m mad!

Anyway, subscribe to my blog, and you might sympathise with me, share my thoughts, and hopefully get something out of it, even if it is just the knowledge that someone else out there is going through the same thing you are!

Many happy returns of the day to you and yours~

Annette
