• Jennifer… my husband reminded me of that AFTER I had already made this 😉 its down the ethnic isle and it's called Haupia. Have you seen it made by Jello?

  1. @JulieRogers I love it when people share my stuff! Thanks!

@Starveit What a great idea! I am glad it worked in your machine! Thanks for sharing!

2. Also another tip: Use the clear Jello and add a can of condensed milk and it will come out white. It is also very tasty with Jello. It will taste like the Vietnamese deserts.

  3. Do you think sparkling water would work instead of soda? Or does the sugar in the soda maybe help it set differently.

  4. Have you ever tried it with sugar free jello and diet soda? I wonder if it would work as well. I think I will try it and see.

    • I haven’t tried it with diet soda and sugar free jello, but I don’t think it would make much of a difference. It sets up because of the gelatin and water content.

    • I think the carbonation in the pop makes it easier to scrape up. If you used juice or water, I don’t think it would have the same texture or zing. Good question.
