I went to the Build Your Blog Conference this month and guess what? I actually WON something! I know, I was as shocked as you are now. Oh, you don’t know? I’ve NEVER won anything my whole life. So I was very excited! I won an awesome gift basket from the 4H Club with everything I needed to make a Brown Sugar Foot Scrub and a Citrus Salt Body Scrub. So my girls and I went to work putting them together. It was a lot of fun and our skin has never been softer!

How to make your own Spa Salt and Sugar scrubs:
Citrus Salt Body Scrub Recipe:
- 1/2 c sea salt
- 1/2 cup almond oil
- Mixing bowl
- Zester/ Grater
1. Combine the sea salt and almond oil being careful to not let any water get in the mixture.
To Use: Swirl ingredients together with dry finger. Clean body completely then apply the salt scrub to body in a circular motion with hands or a soft wash cloth. Rinse off the mixture and pat body dry with a clean towel.
Brown Sugar Foot Scrub Recipe:
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Mixing bowl
1. In the mixing bowl combine 2/3 cup white sugar with 1/3 cup packed brown sugar. Whisk them together until they are completely combined.
2. Add 1/2 cup olive oil and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and mash together with a fork until all of the oil is combined into the sugar mixture.
To Use: Follow same directions as the salt scrub except
use on feet. Can be used on body too.
These recipes were taken from the Discover 4-H Spa and Relaxation Club book. There are so many great recipes for spa treatments in this book. This would be a really fun activity for a girls get together or birthday party.
