Crock Pot French Dip Roast Beef Sandwiches

08/05/14 | Dinner, Main Dishes, Recipes, slowcooker

French dip sandwiches are one of those super easy dinners we like to make during the summer time. Especially since the ones I make are made in the crock pot, there is no hot oven making my house hotter than it needs to be. These are so simple and your kids will love them!

French Dip Sandwiches in the Crock Pot

French Dip Roast Beef Sandwiches in the Crock Pot:

  • 1- 2 pound rump roast
  • Hoagie Rolls from the grocery’s bakery (trust me, you don’t want to skimp on the rolls)
  • 3 cans beef consume

Add the roast to the crock pot with one can of the beef consume. Add salt and pepper to the roast if desired. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Shred with two forks. Slice the hoagie rolls in half and place as much beef as desired on the sandwich. Warm the remaining beef consume in the microwave following instructions on the can. Serve the consume in small bowls with the sandwiches. Dip the sandwiches in the consume as you eat each bite. Enjoy!

We served ours with seasoned french fries and salad.

Yum!!! I’ll have to add this to my meal plan in the next few weeks. We love the crockpot and this is one that I always forget to make.
