Personalize School Supplies with Sharpie and Staples

08/12/14 | Back To School, Kids, Kids Crafts and Coloring, Uncategorized

“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Sharpie, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #StaplesBTS http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV”

I have a love/hate relationship with Back to School shopping. I love buying my kids new clothes and fresh new school supplies. They are all sparkly and new! I HATE how much money it costs me, especially since I have 5 kids! This is what I love about shopping at Staples. Back to School SALES! And now, all Sharpie fine and ultra fine and highlighters are on sale, while supplies last, at Staples. My kids LOVE sharpies. They love using them to personalize their school supplies. I’m going to show you how they personalized their cute pencil bags.

Personalizing School Supplies with Sharpie and Staples

We went to Staples and purchased some Sharpies that were on sale for $7.00. A whole 12 pack for $7.00! We also got some of the cool metallic Sharpies so they could write on their black notebook and pencil box with those.

They made a swirly design on the top colored part of their bags.

My girls are really into Chinese character writing lately, so they thought it would be fun to decorate their bags with those. They googled “how to write ‘happy’ in Chinese” and google gives them the character.

My daughter who is in Jr. High has an A-Day and a B-day with different classes each day. She needs two notebooks for each day, so she used the metallic marker to designate a binder for each day. She also used these for her 3×5 card cases.

We also love using our sharpie markers to mark our names in our backpacks, jackets, coats, umbrellas, lunch boxes, gloves and hats so they don’t get mistaken for someone else’s.

At home I am always using sharpies to mark the summer clothes boxes so I know what size and gender is in what box. We only have room in our closets and drawers for one season of clothing, so we have to store the rest in a marked box downstairs.

I always use Sharpies to mark our busy family calendar, color coding each family member with different colored sharpies. That way I can glance at the calendar and see who has something planned that day.

Sharpies also make the best teacher gift! They use them just as much in their classroom as I do in my home. I’m a teacher, and when I get sharpies as a gift, it makes me happy!

Here are the finished products of my girls creative Sharpies day!
