Kids Tooth Brushing Chart & Tips for Good Oral Health

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for LISTERINE. I received samples for this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.”

My family’s oral habits are not the best. We do brush our teeth morning and night, but we are not very good at flossing and using mouth wash. My wallet can tell you that we have had many cavities to fill and teeth that needed to be pulled because of bad oral health habits. We are making a plan to do better. LISTERINE is helping us do just that with their flossers and mouth wash.

My kids need motivation to take care of their teeth. We have a plan in place for that. We got a shipment of all these new LISTERINE products and we are loving them. My kids really like the SMART RINSE ANTICAVITY FLUORIDE RINSE. It tastes like bubble gum and has a fun little “squeeze to measure” feature. I know my kids are getting a healthier mouth my using the mouthwash to kill the germs the toothbrush and floss didn’t get.

This LISTERINE ULTRACLEAN ACCESS FLOSSER is my favorite. I have teeth that are really close together so it’s hard to get floss in between my teeth. I also have a small mouth so getting my fingers in there to floss is not fun. This product is the best for me! I love it! It’s so easy to floss my teeth now. I also love the COOL MINT LISTERINE POCKETPAKS BREATH STRIPS for date night when I don’t want to chew gum. I also use them for interviews and on Sunday when I’m teaching a lesson and don’t want to chew gum to freshen my breath. My kids love these strips too. Sometimes they pick them as a treat instead of candy. The love how the little strips dissolve on their tongue. These little strips kill 99% of bad breath causing germs. Awesome!

With a variety of flavored floss, my kids have really liked flossing recently. They like to use a different flavor each night. Their teeth are already looking better and they are paying more attention to their Oral Health. The LISTERINE HEALTHY WHITE (purple) MINT FLOSS has an added baking soda ingredient to get rid of stains like coffee, tea or wine. The MICRO-GROOVES TECHNOLOGY removes 2X’s more plaque than Gentle Glide Floss. The GENTLE GUM CARE FLOSS is perfect for my 15 year old son with sensitive gums. It has a more springy texture which makes flossing more enjoyable for him.

I am not the best at using mouth wash. It hurts my mouth. I tried this LISTERINE HEALTHY WHITE sodium fluoride ant-cavity mouthrinse and I loved it! It was more gentle and I could keep it in my mouth for a long time without feeling like my mouth was on fire! It’s the only mouth rinse out there that does not contain peroxide. It includes the added benefit of fluoride to help my teeth restore enamel.

My 3 year old needs a little more motivation. I’ve made this fun tooth brushing checklist for him to add a sticker to each time he brushes, day and night. I laminated it so he can use a dry erase marker to check off when he is done brushing. Then when he has a check on each day, morning and night, he can get a treat.

Free Tooth brushing Chart for KidsYou can download your own too. Just click HERE and click on the download button (an arrow pointing down to a line) and save it on your computer. Then just print one each week and get some fun stickers to add when they are done brushing, or laminate it like I did and use a dry erase marker.

I feel like I’m a Healthy Habit Hero to my kids by teaching them healthy oral habits and teaching them the importance of eating food that is healthy for them.

You can purchase any of these LISTERINE products at your local store or you can order them online HERE.

For more information you can visit the LISTERINE website or check out their YouTube Channel  and see their Healthy Habit Hero’s series.

Let’s join together and be Healthy Habit Heroes to our kids!

That’s an awesome way of promoting dental care in your family. I cannot stress the importance of brushing your teeth twice, daily. Do you give your kids rewards after they brush their teeth for a week?
