Grenadine Italian Soda- A Christmas Tradition

12/09/14 | Christmas, Desserts and Treats, Recipes

I am one quarter Italian. That’s a big chunk compared to the mix the other 3/4 of me. My Grandma was full blooded Italian and she would speak Italian when she was angry. It was so fun to listen to her go off on her husband. 🙂 Whenever we go to an Italian restaurant I order an Italian soda. They are so good. Did you know they are really easy to make? You only need 3 ingredients. The Grenadine Flavor has become a Christmas Tradition at our home. Serve it with a green striped straw and you’re set!

Christmas Grenadine Italian Soda:

  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water
  • 2 tablespoons grenadine syrup
  • 1/4 cup half and half

If you like ice, add ice to the cup first. Make sure you have a cup large enough to hold the ice and the liquids. Add the club soda on top of the ice.

Then add the syrup.
