Cadbury Mini Eggs are the WORST temptation for me at Easter time. They have the creamiest chocolate I’ve ever had and the hard candy shell gives it the perfect crunch that I love. I am always looking for new ways to use them during the 3 months that Easter lasts in our home. Yes, three months, because for as long as Cabury Mini Eggs are in the stores, that’s how long Easter lasts in our house. 😉

I thought about how much I love the Rolo Pretzel Buttons and thought maybe I could do something similar with the Cadbury Eggs. My 9-year-old son, who is the self-proclaimed chef, stopped me in my tracks when I suggested Green Coconut. He disdains coconut. I don’t know why. He suggested Chinese Noodles since they look like sticks. And Viola! The perfect Cadbury Egg’s Nest’s were born.

Cadbury Mini Eggs Pretzel Nests

  • 1- 8 oz. bag Cadbury Mini Eggs
  • 1- 12 oz. bag chocolate Hershey’s Kisses
  • about 75 Square Pretzels (Snyder’s Button Pretzels)
  • one small bag Chow Mein Noodles

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or tin foil. Break the Chow Mein Noodles into small pieces and set aside. Count how many Cadbury Eggs you have in your bag (about 72) and lay out that many pretzels on the sheet. This is when it’s nice to get the kids involved. Add an unwrapped Hershey’s kiss on top of the pretzel. Cook in the oven for 5 minutes or until melted just enough for the center of the kiss to be soft. DO NOT over cook or you will have a big chocolate puddle. I check mine every 2 minutes by pressing down on one kiss and testing to see if the center is soft or not. When the center is soft, remove from oven. Working quickly (this is where the kids come in again) press a Cadbury egg onto each kiss pressing down gently enough to semi-flatten the kisses. While the chocolate is still soft, press the Chow Mein noodles around the eggs to create the nest. Put the pan in the refrigerator until the chocolate is cooled and set. Enjoy!
