Dark Chocolate Toasted Coconut S’Mores

08/03/15 | camping, Desserts and Treats, Family, Recipes

There is something so nostalgic about S’Mores. They bring back happy memories of family time and childhood. But now that I’m an adult, I need a little something more. So I’m introducing these Dark Chocolate Toasted Coconut S’Mores.

Dark Chocolate Toasted Coconut Smores

My husband really loves dark chocolate and he found these amazing toasted coconut marshmallows at the store a few years ago and we fell in love with them.

For the chocolate we use the Hershey’s Special Dark Mildly Sweet Chocolate Bars.

We’ve been making these s’mores for years now, but I thought I’d share them with you. They are so easy to make but they are so different than just a plain old s’more.

Sometimes we want s’mores when we aren’t camping, like yesterday. That’s when we use the burner on our stove. Nope, it doesn’t need to be a gas burner, the electric burner works just fine. Of course, WATCH YOUR KIDS CLOSELY while roasting marshmallows.

Roast the toasted coconut marshmallow until warmed all the way through.

Construct the s’mores by starting with half a graham cracker then add a half of the Dark Chocolate candy bar. Scrape the marshmallow off the stick and onto the chocolate with the other graham cracker and smoosh the marshmallow making a sandwich.

Then enjoy the gooey, chocolaty, crunchy goodness all to your self. No sharing necessary.
