Garlic Parmesan Asparagus

08/27/15 | Recipes, Sides

My husband really loves asparagus. Me? Not so much. So I needed to find a way to cook it so I would like it along with my kids. I love butter, garlic and Parmesan cheese, so I thought why not try to cook it with this flavor combination.

Parmesan Garlic Asparagus

I really love eating asparagus cooked this way. Who doesn’t love Parmesan Cheese? This recipe is something that my kids really love to eat too. It’s simple, fresh and very tasty. The asparagus is still a little crunchy and the garlic gives it a great flavor.

Garlic Parmesan Asparagus

  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Garlic (minced very small)
  • 1 Bunch Asparagus
  • 4 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt

Break off the woody parts of the asparagus and throw away the bottom stumps. In a frying pan, melt the butter on medium. Add the garlic to the pan and saute for a minute. Add the asparagus and sprinkle with salt. Cover and cook the asparagus for about 10 minutes or until tender, stir every few minutes to keep the asparagus coated with the garlic butter.Parmesan Garlic Asparagus When the asparagus is cooked, add to a serving platter and sprinkle evenly with Parmesan Cheese. Serve warm.
