If you haven’t realized by now, I’m all about strengthening families. I believe families are the cornerstone to society. If there aren’t strong families in a community, the community falls apart. But we all know that parenting is hard. Babies, kids and teenagers don’t come with instructions. This is when we need to rely on help from others. Why do you think parenting web sites are so successful? Every parent has needed help from time to time. That is what “Uplift Families” is all about.
I was privileged to attend a luncheon for local bloggers so we could learn more about this initiative. We visited the Governors Mansion and met the First Lady. I am so impressed at her passion for families and I’m so excited to be sharing this information.
Uplift Families is an initiative from the First Lady of Utah. She understands that family is important and wants us all to help each other. Mrs. Herbert has a large family herself and has been a teacher for most of her life. She has seen how parents are in need of help from time to time. Uplift Families is an initiative to assist families in getting access to programs and information that will help them develop the skills necessary to raise responsible loving children.
Uplift families has a YouTube Chanel called Uplift Families Parenting Tips. Tips stands for Teaching Important Parenting Skills. Uplift Families has a conference every year here in Utah which I would suggest every parent attend.
