What do you get a new mom and her baby? Do you give a gift when you go to visit the new mom and see the baby in the hospital? What should you give them for a baby shower? It’s especially hard to think of things to give a new mom when this isn’t her first baby either. But I have some great ideas for you.

Gift Ideas for the New Mom and Baby

I have a new great nephew, so I headed to Big Lots to find some gifts for my Niece and her new baby. I know I’ll always be able to find something great at Big Lots. Especially on a budget, I always find great values at Big Lots. And I always find what I’m looking for.

Gift Ideas for the New Mom and Baby

Here are some great ideas for things that a new mom really wants and a new baby really needs.

#1. Of course babies need diapers. A LOT of diapers so mom’s are always grateful for more of those. And Big Lots has a great selection of diapers. Also, wet wipes. We go through those in the blink of an eye.

#2. I can never have enough blankets for my babies. Big Lots had this adorable one. It’s so soft too! This is the perfect blanket for any winter baby.

#3. Socks are another one of those things that I go through really fast with my babies. They always seem to loose one somewhere, so I’m constantly buying new ones to keep their tiny toes warm.

#4. Little toys and teethers are another great gift idea. I love something like this to keep the baby quiet during church or a long car ride.

#5. Don’t forget mom! These are the best socks for the hospital. My feet always feel cold when I’m in labor, and these socks are so soft and cozy.

#6. Blank Thank You Cards are a great gift for a new mom. They receive so much help, it’s nice to have a stack of cards to give to those who help her.

My favorite gift was…I honestly don’t even remember, isn’t that terrible? I don’t remember anyone doing anything for ME rather than the baby so I love that you combine them both here. #client

These gifts are so cute! I think one of my favourite gifts I received was a Personalised Nappy Stacker, as sad as it sounds it just made the baby’s room look so much tidier and I loved that it has Carly’s name on it!
