Toddler/ Preschool Color Treasure Hunt Get up and get moving!

07/18/13 | Kids Crafts and Coloring, toddlers

What’s better than getting up, getting outside and going for a walk?

Learning your colors at the same time and documenting it with your cell phone camera! We decided we would look for Yellow today! We took a picture of what we found and when we got home we made a collage, printed it and framed it for the wall.

COLOR OF THE WEEK! Look for yellow all week long everywhere we go. Awesome!

Each week/day pick a different color to focus on and make a new collage. It would be fun to buy a cheap frame from the Dollar Store and make a cute collection on your childs bedroom wall.

Here are some fun tips on taking pictures:
-Look at it from your child’s perspective.  Get down low and take a picture looking up, like the School Crosswalk sign in my collage.
-Lower your camera close to the ground and take a picture of something on the ground like the speed bump and the yellow plant in my collage.
-Look straight down at something for the picture like the double yellow line in my collage.
-Bump up the saturation when editing your pictures to make the color pop!

Make a collage in photoshop or picmonkey.com.  You can use my collage for photoshop if you know how to use collages and have photoshop 🙂  You can get it here:  COLOR COLLAGE.PSD
