Bat Hand prints~ Halloween Preschool Activity & Free Printable

10/29/13 | Crafts, Halloween, Holidays, Kids Crafts and Coloring, Preschool

I think this is such a fun and cute last minute Activity to do for Halloween~  I saw a couple of these on Pinterest and I just had to make a cuter face than the ones I saw.  I know, I know, diva, or perfectionist, take your pick.

So I made a printable for you to use too!  And you don’t even have to be a preschool teacher to use these, kids of all ages will love making these so make a whole family of bats for your home windows.  How cute would that be!? Some of these links are affiliate links. You can read my disclosure policy for more information.

All you need is:
–Black construction paper or if you wan the kids to color the face themselves, white.
–2 Large googly eyes for each bat
-White card stock
–Black paint
–Paint brush
-White plain paper for the teeth

Start by printing the faces on black card stock, or like I mentioned above, white, then have the kids color the bats face black.  Glue on the googly eyes and fangs if needed.

Download your bat faces HERE.

Now, pick a child and paint their hand black and make a sideways hand print as far to the side as possible.  Repeat on the other side so your paper looks like this:

*Note, they look cuter if you do the opposite of what I did and make the thumbs face down.  Keep the childs fingers closed as much as possible.  I always keep a box of wet wipes next to me to wipe off the childs hand before moving to the next one.  Who wants paint all over everything when the child forgets they have a messy hand?  NOT me! 🙂

Now glue the bat’s head to the middle of the wings and you’re done!  So easy and cute!

Happy Halloween!

Cute! What kind of paint did you use? (How easily did it come off hands?)

I use acrylic paint and it washes right off their hands.
