Overnight Guests Coming? What to Stock Up on in Your Bathroom

12/04/14 | cleaning tips, Holidays, Home, Sponsored, Uncategorized

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Charmin. I received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

When preparing for guests, it can be hard to figure out exactly what you will need to stock up on for the bathroom. But, I think I have it figured out. We used to live about a four hour drive away from family and friends, so we had visitors frequently. I’ve learned what I need to stock up on and what I need to do to prepare the bathroom for guests. I think the bathroom is the most embarrassing room for a guest to see when it isn’t at its best. Don’t you agree?

Overnight guests What to stock up on

The number one thing to stock up on in the bathroom is Toilet paper! The most important thing on your bathroom list. We run out of toilet paper like it’s going out of style at our house. No one wants to be the one to find out there is no more toilet paper either, so make sure to stock the bathroom with a few extra rolls. Make sure to store rolls in an easy to find place where guests can easily grab more. We love using a hook that can go onto the side of the toilet bowl tank. That way when the old roll runs out, they just have to reach back and grab a new one.

Our favorite kind of toilet paper is Charmin. With Charmin Ultra Soft and Ultra Strong you can use up to 4X less toilet tissue! I found this out quickly when I became the one that does the grocery shopping after being newly married. I never buy the cheap, thin stuff. I always end up using twice as much as I would with a normal roll. So I’m not saving anything! Charmin is super soft without being super linty. Nothing gets left behind. Just like the bears say in the commercial! It’s super strong too. It easily get’s the job done.

Consumers who buy Charmin ensure their plumbing will stay clog-free even during the busiest of times, such as the holiday season. Charmin and Roto-Rooter, America’s largest provider of plumbing & drain services, have teamed up this year to remind consumers of the clog-free and septic-safe guarantee that only comes with Charmin. Roto-Rooter plumbers recommend Charmin more than any other brand.

In addition to toilet paper, there are a few more essential items you’ll need for the bathroom. Most travelers, especially those who are flying, may not want to pack their toiletries. So keep a few large bottles of body wash (neutral smelling), conditioner and shampoo. Why body wash? Do you want to share a bar of soap with someone that just rubbed it all over their body? No, I didn’t think so! You can even call and tell your guests to not bring these things with them if they don’t want to worry about packing them.

Some other things people forget to bring with them include:

  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Mouthwash
  • Feminine products
  • Disposable Razors

Other things to think about:

  • Lot’s of clean towels. Buy some new white ones if you need to. You can get a package for a good deal at Costco. White, clean, fresh smelling towels just scream sanitary! 🙂 Wash them with fabric softener for an extra nice touch.
  • Clean hand towels
  • Clean wash cloth’s
  • Great smelling hand soap in a pump. If it’s the holidays, get some holiday scents.
  • Keep disinfecting wipes on the toilet tank. Then you can just grab one quickly and freshen up the bathroom in the wink of an eye.
  • Clean the bathroom thoroughly before guests come, and keep it clean while they are visiting.
