“The Choice” 2016 Movie

01/25/16 | Reviews, Sponsored

“The Secret to Life is All About Choices.”

I am not an avid reader. I typically read books that are more about self mastery or books that teach me how to do something. A book really needs to be highly recommended by my friends in order to read it. But, I really do love Nicholas Sparks Books. And “The Choice” is one of them. And I’m so excited that they have made it into a movie! It’s going to be here soon, so get your girl friends together and make it a girls night out! “The Choice” is coming out on Friday, February 5th.

Let me tell you a little about the story. Gabby Hollan is a medical student and she is one feisty young lady. She moves to a new place next door to ladies’ man, Travis Shaw. At first they don’t get along very well especially when she finds out that his dog got her dog pregnant. Slowly they learn that they are actually liking each other, but Gabby has a boyfriend and Travis has always believed that a serious relationship is not for him. Gabby prepares to settle down with her long-term boyfriend until the attraction between Gabby and Travis upturns their well planned out lives. Then a tragedy happens to upset their lives even more. There are so many up’s and down’s in this novel. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and you will catch yourself rooting for Travis.

I love Nicholas Spark’s writing style. He sweeps me away with his characters and makes me fall in love with each one of them. The locations of his books take you away into a world of beautiful marshes and quiet beaches. I feel myself right there with the characters. This is why his books translate beautifully into motion pictures.

Lionsgate’s highly anticipated movie release, The Choice, transports us to coastal North Carolina, where my husband lived for 2 years, and introduces us to another great love story.

This book is a great one for your book club. Get together and discuss it and then go as a group to the movie and compare them. It will be so much fun to have a night out with your book club.
