The BEST Burger with Secret Sauce

03/18/16 | Dinner, Recipes, Sponsored, Summer

I am a burger fan. I really love to eat a big burger with pickles on it. And of course some french fries on the side. So today I’m sharing with you one of my best kept secrets until NOW. My recipe for the BEST Burger with Secret Sauce and Spices. This recipe is made even more easy with our sponsors today! The Electro-Light Fire Starter is the easiest way to light your charcoal. Just wait until you see how cool this thing is!

The Best Burger with Secret Sauce

Most of the time I’d rather eat a homemade burger than to go out and buy one. That’s because no restaurant can compare to this burger. The secret sauce has everything you need for a burger and the Famous Daves Pickle Chips are PERFECT! The spices that go into the hamburger meat make it that much better. You will love this recipe. And now that Summer is just around the corner, you’ll need to save this recipe.

The BEST Burger with Secret Sauce

For the hamburgers

  • 1 pound Ground Sirloin
  •  1/4 cup Shiitake Mushroom Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese (optional)
  • Spicy Bread and Butter Pickles (We like the Famous Daves Brand)

For the secret sauce

  • 1 heaping tablespoon each of
    • Mayonnaise
    • Ketchup
    • Yellow Mustard
    • Maple Syrup
  • 1 large diced and seeded Jalapeno
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Start your charcoal first so they can get nice and HOT. I love to use my ELECTRO-LIGHT FIRE STARTER for this job. I do not like to use a chimney with small kids running around outside. I’m always afraid they are going to bump into it and burn themselves. This Electrolight Fire Starter starts the charcoal in minutes.

It sparks to light the charcoal and then it fans the flame to get it going quickly. This would be the best gift for your hubby this Father’s Day! Just watch how easy it is to use!

Now that you have the coals started, mix the mushroom, garlic and onion powders together then add the thyme and stir together. Add to the ground sirloin and mix well (I usually use my hands for this). You can add Worcestershire sauce to taste also. Shape into four 1/4 lb. patties and grill until they reach your desired doneness. I like mine medium. Add the cheddar cheese slices to the hamburgers about 2 minutes before the hamburgers are done cooking.

While the hamburgers are cooking mix together your secret sauce. Mix all ingredients together and set aside. Easy, huh?

Now to assemble the hamburgers. Cut your bun in half and butter each side. Grill the buns until toasted nicely. Then add your hamburger, cheese side up, secret sauce and bread and butter pickles. Add the top and take a giant bite! Serve with some homemade Cajun Fries and you are in heaven!

I’ve made a video to help you see how easy these burgers are to make! Enjoy!

Be sure to check out how easy this Electro-Light Fire Starter is to use.

That burger looks so delicious! Definitely have to look into using that combination of spices for my next burger night, and the secret sauce sounds like it’ll be a hit too. Thanks for sharing!
