School is sneaking up on us and I’m trying to prepare my kids mentally and physically. Usually every year I have some kids that are excited to go back to school, but this year none of them are really excited. They are having a hard time accepting that summer is almost over.
I’m thinking ahead and preparing for their hungry bellies.
I’m stocking up on snacks and lunch supplies. No matter how much food I send with my kids to school for lunch, the kids always come home starving. So I am experimenting with some fun recipes to switch things up a bit this year.
I’m teaming up with Honeycomb this year to create one of these yummy and filling recipes. After School Honeycomb Apple Snack Mix. My kids enjoyed being my taste testers for this post. And this recipe that I’m sharing with you is the winner! It’s a very healthy snack mix only using honey as the sweetener. I added M&M’s for a little bit of chocolate but those can be eliminated also if you want it to be even more healthy.
My kids love eating Honeycomb for breakfast and I love using it in recipes.
For Honeycomb, thinking big is not big enough, so this trail mix will be “biggerer” than any you’ve made before!
My kids have tried so many cereals and they always turn back to the classics. Honeycomb is one of those cereals that all 5 of my kids can agree on buying. They love it with milk or just thrown in a bag for a snack. My kids love the hexagon shape and big honey flavor. Everything is “biggerer” with Honeycomb Cereal.
You can enter to win a box of Honeycomb and a $25 Gift Card at the end of this post, so don’t leave until you’ve entered!
