Summer Puppet Show to Beat the Summer Heat with Darice

I don’t know how hot it gets in the Summer where you live, but here in Utah (especially Southern Utah where I used to live) it gets downright unbearable. We don’t even go outside for the whole day sometimes. It’s just miserable. So of course we need some boredom busters since we are all trapped in the house together. We get on each others nerves really quickly and the whining about being bored never stops. This is why I absolutely love these “Make Your Own Puppet Kits” from Darice. Just open up the package and put them together. You don’t even have to follow the picture, you can make your own creation and let your creativity flow.

We babysat my nieces a few weeks ago and these puppets were a life saver! They loved helping us make them and they were awesome at coming up with shows to keep us occupied. There are so many different puppets to choose from, they had a hard time deciding which one to make.

They finally decided on a Zebra:

The shark found my money too, he’s good at that!

A frog:

And a butterfly. The older kids helped the younger kids and they got along so well!

These kits come with everything you need including very sticky adhesive squares. I used hot glue for the sharks teeth and their eyes just because I wanted them to really last.

They had so much fun with the puppet show curtain too. The kids played with these all day long. Not just with the curtain, but all over the house, and outside when it finally cooled off a bit. You need to check out these cool puppets. Even my 13 year old daughter was having fun with them.
