Most of our other trips have been pretty close to home, visiting family and friends. I used to feel really guilty about this. I felt like the only time our family could really have a lot of fun was to go somewhere else. But the older I’m getting, the more I’m realizing that TIME is what my kids need. They don’t need DESTINATIONS. So we’ve become really good at planning “Staycations”. Here are 8 great ideas for your next family staycation to bring the family closer together.
I told my kids that we were going to make it and my daughter who is almost 16 said, “Mom, you HAVE to make Sister Bell’s Zucchini Bread! It’s the BEST!” So I had to text my daughters church teacher and ask for the recipe. She was in Hawaii at the time, but she kindly had someone at her home take the picture of the recipe and text it to me. Ha Ha! So, today I’m sharing this amazing recipe with you. It really is super good. You sprinkle cinnamon sugar in the pan before you bake it, so it makes it sweet and crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. You’ll not want to make any other recipe after trying this one.
Aren’t toddlers such cutie pies? They are entertaining, busy and curious about life. But sometimes they change their minds in a split second and you’re left with 15 pieces of toast that are not quite perfect enough for them. It’s a great source of stress for parents, especially when you try to feed your toddler new foods to help balance their diets. I hate to say “Picky Eater” but that’s what they are most of the time. One second they love apples, and the next they loath them entirely. Today I’m going to share with you my 5 tips on how to get your picky toddler to eat.
My puppy is 8 months old and is already huge. He grew so fast! We love him which is why it’s important to choose only the best products for him, like IAMS. Not only is it important to make sure we are feeding the best possible dog food, but it’s important that we give him the exercise he needs. And it’s a good thing we have a dog, because he gets me up off my seat and outside walking with him. He is literally a life saver.
